Financial
My name is John Semlitch. I became an advisor in 2013. When I received an email asking me if I would be interested in this career, I thought to myself, of course. why didn't I think of this before? I had already been preparing income taxes and doing accounting for 30 years, so I knew by combining my tax expertise, I could help my clients immensely . Since then, I know that I made the right choice. By always putting my clients interests first, I have built a strong practice with many very happy clients.
Insurance
I have a very strong belief in life, critical illness, and disability insurance. By working these into a financial plan, insurance can be a safety net for survivors, or a way of protecting your financila plan in case of unexpected events. But it can also be a savings plan to work into retirement, or even help with children's education, or just to find their way as they grow into independent adults.
Income tax
I started my income tax career in a chartered accounting firm in 1983. Right away, I knew that the financial field was my cup of tea. Mathematics was my best and favourite subject in school, and I always found myself to be a very analytical type of person. This tax and accounting background is an enormous benefit to my clients. With this knowledge, I am able to save them a great deal of income tax over the course of their financial plan, giving them more after tax dollars to enjoy along the journey of life.

It should start with your goals and objectives, and from there we will build an investment geared toward your specific goals, wants, and needs.
Your plan will be very specific to you, and will most likely need adjusting as life changes. We will meet to make sure your plan is still in alignment with your goals from time to time, but most definitely whenever major changes occur.

Hours
Normally I work from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. However, I like to take off around noon on Fridays. But my cell phone is always handy for my clients and I am not afraid to meet with clients in the evenings or even on weekends if we are unable to fit a meeting in on regular hours.
